Columbia University - 114th-120th streets between Amsterdam Avenue and Broadway. Founded in 1754 with a charter from British King George II. The colonnade building here is the Low Library. Inside are 16 green marble columns supporting a beautiful octagonal rotunda, but no students poring over their textbooks. The library is reserved for ceremonies and exhibitions. On the ground floor to the left is the Visitor centre where the guided tours begin.  Posted by Picasa
