
The Sistine chapel - crown jewel of the Vatican museum. Commisioned by Pope Sixtus IV (Hence the name)during AD 1475-81. Located, just north of St. Peter's Basilica, the small chapel comes alive with a blistering saga of colours as the genius Michelangelo lends his skill to rendreering God with all his awe and splendour exuding his creative powers. The ceiling is lined with the Bilical depiction - a series of 9 paintings, summarising the bible and creation of the world, man and everything else by God. .
