Ze bridge of Sighs. In Venice's heydaysm this bridge used to connect the LAwyer's chambers to the prison chambers for the convicted. The inhuman treatment of the prisoners was such that they were never allowed to see light. The only time they got to see the light was while passing through the windows of this bridge. This reminds me of another hilarious-but-true story of the punishments for lawyers during those times. More about that in a blog soon to follow....  Posted by Picasa
